From the very first line in this book, by Wednesday Martin, it is clear that she understands me completely.
“My marriage was meant to be. It was also doomed to fail. You see, I chose a man with children.”
The book honestly made me feel like I wasn’t alone, it wasn’t just me that felt this way. She understood. It was almost like she had been reading my journal.
She speaks the truth, sometimes we don’t always like our step-children, our bonds will never be as close as with our birth children, but best of all – that this is all normal! It was like a breath of relief escaped me, as I read from page to page. I was normal!
I found myself nodding, and mumbling “Yes!” to myself, at every turn. To know that I’m actually OK, it’s not something I’m doing wrong, and that it’s NOT MY FAULT.

Oh yes, it makes it very easy to take it in, and learn from it, when you relate to it well.
