Academy is on Cameron Road on the corner of 15th in Tauranga.
The room was comfortable and well laid out with all the standard stuff you’d expect in a motel (sky, free internet, small appliances, two TVs etc).
The bath included water jets and the shower was fantastic.
They also have a heated pool, a spa and a trampoline. The location is quite central and convenient for shopping etc.
The continental breakfasts were good and at $10 each, not overly expensive.
The service was very friendly and helpful at all times. I don’t think it is one of the cheapest facilities but then it’s not one of the most expensive either.
About the only thing I can say against it is that the roads near by are busy and traffic sounds including frequent police sirens were quite audible from bed at night.
