It’s Paradise

We get into the car. It’s hot. Sweltering hot.

I tell the kids that I’ll put the air-conditioning on, and then it’ll get cooler.

A few moments later, I say “I can feel the air-conditioning coming through now, can you feel it?”

Declan says with complete sincerity “oh yes mummy, it’s paradise.”
