I sat in the car, next to Miss S, watching her, watching the world go by. So many questions, so many unanswerable.
I wondered what childhood memories she would have. What was I making memorable for her. What did I remember? Not the clean clothes I had to wear, or the dinners Mum made, or the lunches that were always in my bag.
I remembered the games in the backyard, the special snuggle reading times, the chatting with Mum while she baked. I remembered sitting in a car asking questions. Mum’s patience. I work hard, to ensure Miss S will remember memories like that with a smile too.
Awesome 😀
