The first thing is to make your braiding disc.
Use some stiff cardboard, and trace around a glass. You need as many discs as people doing the craft. So in my case, 4.
Cut 8 slots in the disc – evenly around. Make a hole in the middle.
Cut 7 pieces of yarn at the same length – from elbow to fingertip of the person your’re making the bracelet for.
Tie them in a knot at the top.
Thread the knot through the hole in the middle of the disc.
Spread the yarn out – one in each slot, and that leaves one spare slot.
To start braiding, point the empty slot up – to the 12 o’clock position.
Move the yarn from the 3rd slot on the right, to the top empty position.
Then turn the circle, and do the same thing, again, and again, and again 🙂
