Internet providers who suck – Slingshot

Wow!

Our router has been failing for weeks, shitty connection, working fine, then just stops working. Finally work out for sure it’s a faulty router.

So we email our provider – SLINGSHOT (never ever use them), and tell them that it’s faulty. Now it’s one they provided us when when we signed up with them only 5 months ago.

We get a response from them

I would like to advise that you can get a replacement router sent out to you. You will only be charged $19.90 – $9.95 for the replacement modem’s delivery and $.9.95 for a courier-bag to be sent out for returning the faulty modem back to Slingshot. Once the modem is proven to be faulty, we can credit you the $9.95 for the courier bag.

So we have to pay $9.95 for THEIR faulty router? How the hell is that fair? If it’s proven to be faulty they should replace it free of charge. Ie, refund the whole lote back. That just sucks big time.

This is also after 5 months of bad service, weeks with no phone, and no internet, and intermittent service the rest of the time.

Anyway – highly recommend you do NOT use Slingshot.
