I learnt a neat technique the other day 🙂 Shirring. If you haven’t tried it, you really should! I want to shir everything I can! Following this blog post I gave it a go!
I took one old pillowcase! (Yes, it’s Tweety bird)
I wrapped the elastic thread around my bobbin. Just a little tension, not much. And it didn’t take anywhere near as long as I thought it would!
I made a few boo-boos, not pulling it tight, which meant it didn’t work properly!
But then remembered and pulled it tight as I sewed!
And the finished first-time-shirring! So proud 🙂
Congrats on trying shirring!!! After many attempts, I finally feel like I am somewhat successful at it. It took me a while though 🙂
I'm still learning, but gosh, it's oh so exciting to have a new skill!!
