Here is a neat, easy idea for making your own Christmas decorations.
What you will need
- Pipecleaners
- Paint
- Brushes
- Hairpins
- Drawing pin
- Bowl of water (cleaning the brush)
- Ping pong balls
How to make them
1. Make holes in the ping pong balls, using the drawing pin.
2. Poke the hair pins into the ping pong balls.
3. Paint the balls.
4. Leave to dry. I hung them up like this. I threaded another hair pin through the first one.
Then I put it on a hanger, and used a food clip to hold it there.
5. When it’s dry, add glitter!
6. Use the pipecleaner as the ‘hook’ to put it on the tree with, and you’re done!!
A nice easy Christmas craft for the whole family!
What a fabulous idea!! And so personal!!! 🙂 Loving it!!! I am not ready for Christmas!!
I think it'll be neat in years to come when they teach their kids how to make them!
Oh that's a bit awesome!
Boyo handpainted a bag of polystyrene Xmas shapes a few years ago, and we posted them to New Zealand, England and Wales. They cost me an absolute fortune to post them, but they were such a big hit! 🙂
Love it! Simple and yet very effective. Good for your Ms Kate x
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing at Awesome Inspirations link party at tiarasandbowties.blogspot.com. Great activity to get the kids involved!
Oh I bet! Things just are so expensive to post! But I bet they were appreciated, handmade gifts always are!
Thank you 🙂 Kids loved doing it!
Thanks! Hopefully will have more to share!
What a cute idea. With small kids, the ping-pong balls would be better than the breakable ornaments. I'll have to keep this in mind.
I love your blog. I'm your newest follower.
Would love to see you DIY Home Sweet home.
