I was in the mood for a decadent dessert so I looked in the cupboards and put this together 🙂 Probably not great for the diet conscious but they are small (well, thats my excuse anyway).
Sorry I can’t be specific with quantities, I just add stuff until it seems right. I’ve had a guess but it’s all about how it looks, feels, smells and most important, tastes.
Ingredients
- Dark chocolate buttons – 1/2c
- White chocolate buttons – 1/4c
- Peppermint essence – 1/4t
- Hazelnuts – 1/8c
- Cream – 1/4c
Method:
- Grind the hazelnuts and sift
- Roast at 200°C mixing whenever the top looks done until they are golden through out
- Whip the cream – I just shook it in a clean container
- Melt the dark chocolate (I added a little cream then microwaved for 20 seconds)
- Add cream to the chocolate until it seems a good smooth mix
- Mix peppermint essence into the chocolate mix to taste
- Put spoonfuls of mix in miniature cups (I used silicone ones) and flatten
- Put in the freezer for about as long as it takes to make the main course
- Melt the white chocolate and mix in a little cream
- Sprinkle some hazelnut over the top
- Put in the fridge until it sets or you can’t wait any longer
- Serve alone or with cream
