Being just down the road we thought we’d give this place a try.
When we first walked in we thought that the service was pleasant but not as warm as we expected. After a while we realised that the man serving was actually very friendly and helpful, but we wondered if his english was just not as great as it could be.
The food was exquisite. Everything we tried was just fantastic.
The kitchen was staffed by just one lady who seemed to be coping well when we went in (there was just one other couple) but when another two couples and a group of six arrived in quick succession we wondered how she could cope! But to our amazement we watched as she cooked the various dishes (don’t you just love openly visible kitchens?) and served them at the same time all looking as good as our own.
We started with fresh baked bread with pesto, for our mains we had fettuccine and a great dish with couscous and chicken tenderloins. We finished with a meringue, ice cream and lemon curd dessert. Everything was fantastic.
I would strongly recommend this place, we will be back!
